DESCRIPTION:Dear friend\, \nAs we close out 2023\, we wanted to take the time to thank you for your partnership and support. \nThis year has been filled with wonderful examples of what can be accomplished when we come together to display the great Power that exists In Community. \nThis has been a challenging year in the fight for civil rights\, but NAACP supporters like you have been with us at every turn. \n→ YOU supported us during our 69th Annual Freedom Fund Banquet.\n→ YOU were right there supporting the health of our community at our numerous Vaccine Clinics we hosted this year.\n→ YOU supported our community and local Veteran’s by donating items for Veteran Home Starter Kits.\n→ YOU were right there supporting our youth as many of our members coached and mentored our ACTSO youth; several of whom received national recognition as a result. \nOur Greater Harrisburg Area branch is continuing to grow\, and we need each of you to remain a part of this very important fight for civil rights. On October 12\, 2024\, we will celebrate our 70th Platinum Jubilee Anniversary at the AFSCME Conference Center. This is also a very important election year and an opportunity to hold office and join our Executive Committee. \nAll meetings will take place in person and on site at the AFSCME Conference Center\, the 4th Thursday of every month\, except November and December. November and December’s meetings will be held the 2nd Thursday of the month. A meeting invitation will be sent following this email. \n\nExecutive Meetings –  6:00 PM – 7:00 PM \nLocation: AFSCME Conference Center\, 150 S. 43rd Street Harrisburg\, PA 17111 \nMeeting Dates: January 25\, 2024
