Antique 900 Silver calling card case, circa late 1800s. Features beautiful engraved design and CTM initials. Measures approximately 3.5" x 2.25" and weighs just under 70 grams. Acid tested, shows a color consistent with 900 silver content. However, slightly spotty result leads us to believe the silver content is approximately 90%. Used for calling cards or possibly cigarettes. Top lifts open. Two circles on each side for string attachment. No visible markings. Small dent in one bottom corner. See pictures for condition. An excellent antique collectible. Offered as-is.
